May I Ask You A Question?

Do you believe that we are all God’s Children? Can I ask you another question?

Do you believe that we are all created in the image and likeness of God?  I would like to share a story with you.

The Bible teaches us, that in the beginning, when God created man, He created him in the image and likeness of Himself…  Genesis 1:26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”

Do you know what that means? The “image of God” is that God is a Spirit, so Adam was created with the “Holy Spirit of God” living in Him. The “likeness of God” is that Adam had the physical appearance of God, if God were a man. He had a head, two arms and legs, a torso, etc

God then took His creation, and place him in a Garden, with every provision that he would ever need to live…  Genesis 2:8-9 – 8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

There were benefits to being God’s creation… Genesis 2:16 – “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:”

But there were consequences to disobeying God…  Genesis 2:17 – “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

When God says “surely die,” He meant it. After God created Eve from Adam, they both ate of the forbidden tree, and as God has promised, they “surely died.” Immediately they died “spiritually” – the Holy Spirit of God immediately left them “dead in their trespasses and sins.” Eventually they died “physically.”  Romans 5:12 – “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

So, May I Ask You a Question?  Have we piqued your curiosity a little?  If so, that’s GREAT! and we have so much more we’d like to share with you …

May I ask you a legitimate, reasonable, and pertinent question?

Why didn’t/doesn’t/wouldn’t satan read scripture the way the world does and NOT do what is prophesied of him and make God and the bible (KJV) a lie?
It is impossible to believe that an angel of high order and his untold number of followers (“1/3rd of the heavenly angels” as taught) are too stupid to realize the simplicity of this ploy that would discredit God and his word.
It is also impossible to believe that God would create a being no matter how sane, insane, smart, or stupid, that would have even the slightest possibility of having a leverage over him. The idea of a fallen heavenly angel is an affront to God’s sovereignty and omnis’.

The unadulterated logic of the question shows that the bible (KJV) is not being “rightly divided”. Case in point, your interpretation of Gen 1:26 (KJV), you need to read beyond the colon,
26 …:and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:26 (KJV)
Whether our souls be mortal or immortal, they would have nothing to do with us having dominion over the animals. Being made in the image of God means that he created us with a mind that has the ability to use reason and logic. That is what separates us from the animals and gives us power to dominate.

May God have mercy on his children. amen

To answer your question(s). Yes, Satan fully understands what is prophesied of him, and knows that this prophecy will come true, but like most “created” beings, what hinders him from doing what is right is PRIDE!. When God “created” every being, whether celestial, or terrestrial, He gives them VOLITION, or FREE WILL. They do not have “leverage” over God, nor his sovereignty or omniscience, yet they do have FREE WILL, and God, gives them the consequences of their sin, but does not MAKE them to do what is right.

In Genesis 1:26, as we read “beyond the colon,” the DOMINION that was given to Adam was BEFORE the fall of Genesis 3, but unfortunately, in his FALLEN state, he relinquished that authority, an authority that can only be given as FALLEN MAN (dead in his trespasses and sins), becomes BORN AGAIN (of the Spirit). Contrary to your last statement, we are NOT born in the image and likeness of God. Adam was CREATED in the image and likeness of God, but lost that image and likeness, when he sinned in the Garden, so that by the time we get to Genesis 5:3, he is procreating in HIS image after HIS likeness (which is that of a fallen sinner), thus the need for us to be “born again.” Being “born again,” give us the Person of the Holy Spirit to begin to reside in us (we were not born with him living in us, we were born with a conscience, but the problem with our conscience is that it is NOT holy). Once we are born again, we are place (in Christ), which is the only One who can posses DOMINION. What DOMINION we possess, is thru HIM, and not through us.

Logic dictates that a fallen angel of high order and his untold number of minions would be smart enough to choose not to do what is prophesied of him and make God and his word unreliable.
Logic also dictates that God is not dumb enough to risk his sovereignty on the wiles of a emotionally and/or mentally unstable being.
Therefore logic should teach us that when we come to the bible (KJV) we must come as a child (clean slate). Without our preconceived ideas that people have been taught for a millennia. (Is it not true that every one today was told who satan is, among many other things, before opening a bible to study it.) And with sincere want for truth, and not to consume it upon your lusts, but that you may do true worship and obedience to God, with a repentant heart, and with reason and logic the spirit of God will teach.
9 … for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. 1 Chron 28:9 (KJV)

Fortunately, God’s word is not discerned from what is “logical” as opposed to what is “biblical.” Satan’s fall did not happen because of his intellect (smarts), but because of his desire to “be like the most High (Isaiah 14:14).” God ‘risk’ nothing, especially His sovereignty, because God has, had, and will always have a plan, which was fulfilled in the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, to fulfill the will of the Father that sent Him. No man can approach the bible, as a child or as a grown man, without the Spirit of God living in him (which none of us were born with), so that God can reveal the truth of His Word. I agree that the revelation of who satan is, came from His Word, but The Word is “spiritually discerned,” so that any man, woman or child that approaches His book, void of the Spirit of God, will never understand the truth written therein. None of us are “seeking” Him. He is seeking us.
      Romans 3:11-12 (KJV)
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
